We are a group of full time students studying surveying, primarily in the discipline of quantity surveying, at the School of Professional Education and Executive Development, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. CIOB Global Student Challenge would be an attractive platform for us to get a glimpse of running and managing a construction company ourselves. We also had the opportunity to practice how to estimate the costs of various jobs and how to better allocate the resources to facilitate the performance of our “company”. We believe that the experience in participating in the CIOB Global Student Challenge will be beneficial to us especially thanks to its unique feature to visualize how our decisions may result in the reality.
