Who will win Global Student Challenge 2021?
Base Build
RMIT University
All four members of the Base Build team are currently completing their final year of studies in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) (Honours) at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. The group come from varying academic backgrounds, ranging from the fields of nursing and science, to architecture and property.
Whilst all members presently work in the construction industry, collectively the group were aware of their practical inexperience related to the operations and varied decisions required of construction companies. The team saw the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Global Student Challenge 2020 as an opportunity to gain this practical experience, building on their theoretical knowledge obtained through their studies and enhancing their skills in strategic decision making, communication and collaboration in a highly dynamic environment.
